Everyone who knows that I write a daily post on this blog usually asks: “Surely you will have a couple of articles in reserve for the days you cannot write?”. The answer is usually surprising because in my case it is usually “no”. Panda Fotolia photo rights On a few occasions I have managed to have a wildcard post. So even on a day like today after an intense event in Madrid (including the Afterparty ) it's time to prepare the entrance for 00.01. How to Maintain a Steady Blog Post Pace Seen from the outside, you could say about me that I don't have time for anything. From my perspective I have to rectify: I have time for everything I want. There are no empty spaces in my agenda. I manage to move forward with my blog because I feel like it. It's the whole secret. Writing despite a busy schedule – One of the main consumer email list excuses for not being able to blog consistently is lack of time. There are many gaps in the agenda and downtime that can be used to write a post. It is a matter of discipline to use them for this task. If you really want to blog and post frequently, you do. Day-to-day organization : as I said recently, organizing well is one of my skills that I constantly develop to continue improving professionally. Publishing 1 daily post after almost 2 is still difficult for me because I have a lot of potential for improvement. With an optimal organization you could surely reach 2 (don't be afraid, I don't plan it). Commitment and Prioritization : Anyone who tells you that it sucks to post constantly on a blog is either lying to you or doesn't know what they're talking about. When things get complicated decide your will on taking one more step to achieve your goals. The good news is that it really depends on you. Obviously you have to give it the prioritization it requires. Otherwise you won't make it. The purpose of the wildcard post and why I don't have it It is not very complicated to explain or imagine what the role of the wildcard post is because the expression itself already tells us. The goal is to have an ace up your sleeve on one of those days when we plan to publish but where, due to circumstances beyond our control, we cannot do it. This type of impediment can happen to anyone. Despite there being a certain probability that the same thing will happen to me one day, I do not currently have a wildcard post. I admit that whenever I can move forward I do. The last time I had a reservation post was about 10 months ago. It was during my 9-day offline experiment where I was forced to move about 10 posts forward so as not to be unpublished due to lack of internet connection. This case clearly demonstrates that if I prioritize it I get it but right now I'm not doing it. It's a bit of a dangerous situation because any day I could end up not publishing but for now I don't mind taking the risk.
